Joe Mixon's Victim Says He Insulted Her, Uttered Homophobic Slurs Before Breaking Her Face

Just before the Sugar Bowl Joe Mixon's attorneys released video of him punching an Oklahoma coed named Amelia Molitor. Mixon apologized for his actions, remained enrolled at Oklahoma, and played for the Sooners through this end of the year before he announced he was leaving for the NFL. So far Molitor's side of the story has not been made public.

That all changed this afternoon when the Norman police department released her interview about the incident, which you can watch here

Several pertinent details.

Molitor met Mixon on the sidewalk outside the restaurant where he would eventually attack her. Molitor was standing outside the restaurant with her gay friend while they waited on another of her friend's to use the bathroom inside the restaurant.

It was Mixon's birthday and his friends approached Molitor and asked if she'd be willing to suck Mixon's dick as a birthday present while also calling her a bitch and a whore while commenting on her physical appearance.

Molitor told Mixon, "I would never in a million years go home with you," upon which time an angered Mixon said, "So you'd rather go home with this fucking faggot than me?"

Another of Mixon's friends said, "How about you hit him (Mixon) and I'll hit your little gay friend?"

At that point, feeling threatened, Molitor and her friend went inside. Mixon followed her inside and approached her table. Molitor says she never uttered any racial slurs -- a point Mixon has since acknowledged as being true -- and described the punch as, "It was like I got hit by a train...there was blood all over the floor."

She said she noticed that, "My bottom teeth were a half an inch over," while her friends were trying to clean her face up in the bathroom.

"I had no idea who he was," she said, "I had no idea he was on the football team."

Interestingly, Molitor's attorney read from a report from a man named Anthony Hernandez who reached out to them in the wake of the punch and said that Mixon had previously punched another girl while he was in high school, "I know for a fact he threw my daughter to the ground and hit her. I went to the school and...they hid him in the office. He got no punishment. The police even came. I was escorted off the campus as if I did something wrong. These are simply the facts, he's a woman beater."

Mixon has denied ever punching any other women.

Mixon was not invited to the NFL Combine, but he is eligible to be drafted this May. It remains to be seen whether any NFL team will be willing to draft Mixon.
