The past month has seen some crazy and interesting stories, many of which have led to some funny fan Wikipedia edits.  Here are some of them:

ELI MANNING

Late last month, reports surfaced that the dead body of a family friend of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins was found in Jenkins’ New Jersey residence. A week later, Jenkins’ brother was charged with manslaughter for the friend’s death, but not before someone poked fun at Giants’ longtime quarterback Eli Manning on Jenkins’ page (via Twitter/@Bulls_Hype):

JOHN TAVARES’ UNCLE

On July 1, after nine seasons with the New York Islanders, NHL star free-agent center John Tavares announced he would be signing with his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs.  Many Islander fans were disappointed, including the (likely) fan who edited lacrosse star John Tavares’ (hockey John’s uncle) page (via Twitter/@dalter):

DAVID PRICE

In two starts against the Yankees this season, Red Sox pitcher David Price has given up 12 hits and 12 earned runs in just over four innings pitched.  In his second outing on July 1 at Yankee Stadium, Price was pelted for five home runs in three-plus innings. As a result, Price has been given a new position:

After England defender Harry Maguire scored on a header in the 30th minute in the Three Lions’ 2-0 World Cup quarterfinal victory over Sweden, his Wikipedia page was updated to reflect the perks that could come from the accomplishment (via Twitter/@calumtrail):

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS

When the Warriors signed free-agent big man DeMarcus Cousins just a few weeks after winning their third NBA championship in four years, people went berserk lamenting about the rich getting richer. One person edited the Warriors 2018-19 season page (via Twitter/@AlSevilla4):

BRANDON BROWNER

On Sunday, former NFL cornerback Brandon Browner was arrested after he allegedly broke into his ex-girflriend’s house, threatened to kill her, and stole a $20,000 watch. MORITZ WAGNER

Apparently Kings rookie Marvin Bagley killed Lakers’ rookie Moritz Wagner when Bagley landed a vicious dunk over Wagner during the teams’ first summer league game last week. RIP Moritz (via Twitter/@tjeilmas):

HANNIBAL LECTER

This is extremely random, but funny nonetheless (Twitter/@JAGeorgell):
