College Football Title and Super Bowl Odds

The Penn State Nittany Lions are already ahead of the Ohio State Buckeyes in the AP Top 25, and they’ll get a chance to move ahead of them on the national championship odds as well when the Big Ten rivals meet on the gridiron in a marquee matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Penn State sits behind just Alabama at No. 2 in the updated AP Top 25, with Ohio State at No. 6 on those rankings. However, the Buckeyes sit just behind the Crimson Tide at +500 on the odds to win the college football national championship this season at sportsbooks monitored by, with the Nittany Lions third on those futures at a betting line of +700.

Ohio State is a 6.5-point favorite at home for Saturday afternoon against visiting Penn State.

The Crimson Tide, at 8-0 on the season, remain the heavy -120 favorites on the national title odds, with Clemson and Georgia both at +1000 to round out the top five schools on the list. Notre Dame, up to No. 9 in the AP Top 25, is now at +1800 on the futures, up from +3300 a week ago, while Wisconsin is at +2200, and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are at +2500.

Over in the National Football League, the New England Patriots have improved from +450 to +325 Super Bowl 52 favorites over the past week, with the Pittsburgh Steelers at +700, and both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles at +900. The Eagles have an NFL-best 6-1 record and have improved from a line of +2200 on those futures three weeks ago.

Seattle is at +1000 on the updated Super Bowl 52 odds, with Atlanta and Minnesota at +1600, the Los Angeles Rams at +1800, and Dallas at +2000. The Cowboys put an end to a two-game losing streak with a 40-10 drubbing of San Francisco last week, allowing them to climb back to .500 on the season at 3-3. Dallas has a tough schedule coming up with games against Washington, Kansas City, and Atlanta before a Week 11 showdown with Philadelphia.
