On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis honored our WWII veterans by praising their bravery and sacrifice on the beaches of Normandy on this 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
Travis also discussed the much less serious status of the NBA Finals, with the Toronto Raptors winning Game 3 last night over the Golden State Warriors.
Clay then voiced his opinion on the non-story of a minority owner of the Golden State Warriors who lightly shoved Raptor Kyle Lowry after he fell into the crowd during Game 3 of the NBA Finals. This scenario only contributes to the foolish idea of the NBA considering removing the title of “owner” because it is somehow being interpreted as racially insensitive.
Clay continued by mentioning the Beyoncé non-story, with social media pouncing on an owner’s wife after the singer gave her a questionable look during Game 3 of the NBA Finals. “This is utterly absurd,” said Travis. “The Internet has become, thanks to social media, a ‘blame factory.’”
Clay also mentioned how the NBA ratings are continuing to tank, with Game 3 ratings down 23%. This is largely due to the politicization of the league, with an undue amount of negative attention surrounding the innocuous word “owner.”
